Tintara winery represents the best of the past and the present. Pioneers of the McLaren Vale region back in 1861, today the winemakers at Tintara are able to draw on this heritage to make wines inspired by tradition but with all the innovation of today. Free to explore all McLaren Vale has to offer, Tintara is at the forefront of regional expression with new and traditional varieties.

Located in the main street of McLaren Vale, the heritage-listed, ironstone-walled cellars of Tintara, the building has been home to our hand-tended winemaking for over 80 years. Gentle open fermentation and basket pressing methods inherited from the original Tintara Cellars of 1863 continue today. Combined with the best of modern-day techniques, Tintara remains true to the expression of McLaren Vale character.

Shiraz
Concentrated flavours of dark forest fruits, plum and cocoa complement the sweet vanilla oak, along with savoury spice and cedar, all carried on a balanced structure of fine grained, juicy tannins to give a palate of rich and even persistence. Enjoy now, or cellar for 10 years.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Rich and stylish with flavours of blackcurrants, chocolate and spice, this McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon has elegantly structured tannins and subtle integration of French oak. The palate is long with good depth of flavour leading onto a fresh, dry finish. Enjoy now, or cellar for 10 years.
